Learning Lens - 21st July
The high lights this week have been Treat Day - so much water play! Sports Day, TV and cake time (fairy cake), seeing Year 6 in their leavers assembly and having lots of child initiated with our friends and teachers.
There has still been a little learning in between all our exciting events - in Phonics we have continued to segment and blend reading words. In Maths we have talked about what numbers are made up of: 8 can be 4 and 4, 5 and 3 etc. In RE we have talked about lots of the stories we have shared over the year and thought what would make RE even better: even more stories, if we can see more things (religious artefacts), learning outside and playing games were some suggestions. In PSHE we have kept talk about next year positive and reminded the children that we will just be up the hill, we will pop down and say hello when we can and see how they are settling in to Year 1. They are with their friends, they have met their new teachers, they will still get time for child initiated and do even more exciting learning challenges!

This is a lovely resource to help with writing the different graphemes (written letter).
